Hop, Skip and a Jump!!

...well maybe not quite yet but I'm very, very, very proud to FINALLY announce that Jilly is a walker!! (listen to that crowd cheer) Oh my God I don't even think you understand how extremely excited, proud, relieved I really am. 17 months. 17 months!! Most babies I know walked between the ages of 9 months and 12 months. So for 5 agonizing months I wondered what the heck is going on with my little girl. I heard time and time again that she'll walk when she darn well wants to. Well, what happens when IIII want her to?? I don't even think I blogged about all that we've been through with this walking thing. We've seen her regular doctor, a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, a cardiologist, ANOTHER physical therapist and a neurologist all in the last year. It's been a lot of work and worrying and doctor's appointments to make sure Jilly's legs were "normal". As an infant she had discoloring in her legs from time to time, then as a one year old she did this funky crawl/drag my leg type of thing that made us think one leg was weaker then the other. But as the advice poured in and Momma got frustrated at the numerous doctor's appointments we just let Jilly do her thing. And her thing now is TO WALK! Everywhere, all the time.

Let the chasois begin. I've been craving it for many, many, many months.
