Shannon suggested pretty early on that she'd like to go to this piano bar at the Universal CityWalk so we made sure to plan everything around that. Amy and I brainstormed a bunch of different things to do in Hollywood and ultimately decided to stick around the CityWalk because they just have SO much to do there! Our first stop was at iFly Hollywood for indoor skydiving! They wouldn't let us have our cameras so we didn't get many pictures but BOY was that a fun experience! To be completely weightless in that wind dome thingy was such a trip. It also didn't help the embarrassment factor that we had to wear ridiculous jumpsuits with very sexy helmets AND the wind dome was OUTSIDE right in front of the store so every patron walking past could watch us. haha ahhhhh.
After indoor skydiving we took our time walking to the hotel because it wasn't quite ready for us yet! Some of the bridesmaids opted out of skydiving so they were put in charge of decorating the room for Shannon's arrival. We made a small detour at a small Mexican restaurant for some kamikazi shots to get the party rolling then it was finally time to head to the room.
The girls did an awesome job decorating with balloons, streamers and even penis straws! haha Good job girls! Shannon loved it. We got ready in the room, had some drinks, then it was time to head back over to the CityWalk for some dinner. I had decided we need to go to Saddle Ranch Chophouse for dinner because I found out they had a mechanical bull and how perfect was that for a bachelorette party?! The manager quickly found out we were celebrating a bride-to-be so he brought over two of his speciality 2 foot high martini glass FILLED with cotton candy. Awesome!! After dinner was done some of us more gutsy-er (same as the skydiving group!) girls signed up to ride the bull. Thank you Alex, Rox, Amy and of course Shannon for being daring! We were lucky enough to have a raunchy, nasty looking chick precede us on the bull... why you ask? Because that just made us look all the better!! haha We were all worried about making asses of ourselves but definitely not after seeing that chick on it! We were pros!
Now for the grand finale! Like I said earlier Shannon had let us know early on that she wanted to go to a kick ass piano bar at the Universal CityWalk. Howl At The Moon was by far the best piano bar I've ever been to! The performers were so talented, funny yet classy and wild. We reserved the front four tables for our bachelorette so we had as much access to the stage as our performers did and boy did some of us girls take advantage of that. lol Shannon got pulled up on stage numerous times but the best was when they pulled her up there to sing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Shannon stood between two pianos and lip-sang her heart out and even threw in numerous amounts of hair/head tossing when necessary and appropriate. haha
So this was my fun filled bachelorette Saturday night and it went off with a bang! All the hard work and planning turned out great thanks to all the bridesmaids for their help! And a special thank you to Amy for being my DD and taking me to Del Taco afterwards. A girl's gotta eat!
